Dua Lipa is a English singer and musician born on August 22, 1995, from London United Kingdom. The model signed with Warner Bros Records after a couple of years of work and released a self-titled first album in the year 2017. The album peaked at the third spot on the U.K. albums chart and included eight songs, including the U.K. top-ten song New Rules and Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British debut act in 2018. Her album was certified platinum throughout the world. Dua Lipa was conceived in London in the UK by Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa rexha (mother) and Dukagjin lilipa (father). As a result of her maternal grandmother, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. Her ancestors can also be traced back to the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's grandparents were both historians. Lipa is the younger sister of Rina Lipa and an older brother called Gjin. Lipa was influenced musically by her father who was the guitar player and lead singer of the Kosovan rock group Oda. At the house, her dad would play original compositions, along with songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing around the age of five. When she was in her 9th year she began singing at Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has performed a cover of Don't Have You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube. Lipa signed her first record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. New Love, Lipa's debut single was released on August 2015.
