Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28 1997) was an American actor and a singer. She made her acting debut in her teens. She was best known as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders and also for playing the character of Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. Her siblings include three. She was a teenage singer who performed in clubs, sneaking away from the family in order in order to perform. After studying acting at the Wooster School from 13 years old, she pursued a degree in drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. Her birthplace was in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th of April She was raised in the town. Kari is the daughter of the father of a German American as well as a mother from Germany. Kari was born in an extended family with four children. When she was just a teen, Kari would perform in clubs by sneaking away from her home. Kari aged 13 years old, attended the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She also attended drama classes at Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College college, and also the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor renowned as Uta. Kari began acting when she was an teen, and her first television break was in 1987 MTV's Remote Control.
