Tom Selleck-2American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakthrough role was as Thomas Magnum (private investigator) in the television series Magnum. (1980-1988) during which time he was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He won in 1985. In the series Blue Bloods, Selleck has played Frank Reagan, New York City Police Commissioner. Since 2005, he's played the role of Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief in the small-town New York City. The actor has also been in nine TV movies which are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the part of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987), and Three Men and a Little Lady (90). In addition to his role in Magnum, P.I., Selleck has appeared in over 50 films and television shows, which include the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter and baseball. He was the television role of Monica Geller's love interest Dr. Richard Burke and Lance White on Friends. In addition the role of A.J. Cooper at Las Vegas. He also played the lead role in the television western film The Sacketts, based on two of Louis L'Amour's books.Selleck is a California Army National Guard veteran as well as a spokesperson for the National Rifle Association (NRA) as well as an endorser on advertisements for National Review magazine, and co-founder of the Character Counts! organization.
